A rectified edge on tile means that the material has been finished on all for sides with a very faint bevel. This process helps minimize height variation between tiles cause by variations in sub-floor or in the manufacturing tolerances. Rectified edge tile also allows for minimal grout joints as wider grout joints are required on non rectified products.
